President's Forum 2025

Dear Friends,

We are the generation to see the Bible made available to every man, woman and child.

Stop and think about what that means, not just for you personally but for God’s people: You are part of the generation that will see Scripture go out into the farthest corners of the earth so that all people, speaking or signing all languages, will be able to know and understand how much our God loves them. The time is now.

We don’t know about you, but that gives us chills.

Throughout our lives, we’ve asked that the Lord would equip us to mindfully live in light of eternity, stewarding our time, talents and treasures to advance His Kingdom here on earth. As we look at the Bible translation movement around the world, we are seeing the vision of a promised future in Revelation 7:9 become reality — one where people from every nation, tribe, people and language will be standing before the throne and before the Lamb.

This year, Wycliffe and our partners are prayerfully asking God to move in incredible ways as we collectively pursue the possibility of achieving a God-sized dream — to see a Bible translation project in progress in every language still needing one by the year 2025.

With that dream in mind, we’re hosting two President’s Forums: one to kick off the year and one as we near the end of 2025. No matter which Forum you attend, you’ll have the opportunity to encounter God through worship, fellowship and incredible stories of how He is moving in and through His global Church. These weekends are so much more than an event. Marked by a shared sense of purpose, excitement and momentum, they’re a time for like-minded believers to gather in pursuit of seeing God’s Word go out to the ends of the earth so that minds and hearts can be captured by His love.

As we look forward to being together, our minds and hearts are overflowing with what He has done — and filled with hopeful expectation of what He will continue to do.

Join us in declaring the greatness of our God as He makes His name known among the nations!

Until all the nations worship,

John and Kelly Chesnut

Together We Can Pursue a God-Sized Dream: Vision 2025

Vision 2025 seeks to have a translation program in progress in every language still needing one by the year 2025.

With every hour that passes, we are closer to the end of calendar year 2025. Join us in asking God to do more than we can imagine, making it possible to see Bible translation start for every language still needing it before this clock strikes zero. May we all work with a sense of urgency and anticipation of what God can do, for His ultimate glory and the good of His people around the world!

All the nations you made will come and bow before you, Lord; they will praise your holy name.
For you are great and perform wonderful deeds.
You alone are God.

— Psalm 86:9-10 (NLT)

Dr. John & Kelly Chesnut

President’s Forum Hosts

John serves as President & Chief Executive Officer of Wycliffe Bible Translators USA, where his wife, Kelly, also serves as Spiritual Development Officer. Together they bring their unique gifts and shared passion to the organization — with the aim of seeing communities transformed when people experience God’s Word in a language and format they truly understand.

John and Kelly served in the pastorate for 13 years before joining Wycliffe in 2001 and moving to the Philippines. There, John served in a variety of leadership roles with SIL Philippines and SIL International, and Kelly led prayer and spiritual development efforts.

In 2011, they returned to the United States, where John served as Chief Development and Partnerships Officer for Wycliffe USA and Kelly continued in prayer ministries. Today, John remains passionate about partnership, believing that collaborative unity within the body of Christ provides greater opportunities for the advancement of Bible translation. Kelly, too, remains dedicated to intentionally infusing prayer into all aspects of the work and believes that when we are deeply rooted in Scripture, our very lives will manifest His love and provide opportunities for people to encounter Jesus personally in a way that captures hearts and transforms lives forever. In their current roles, they seek to encourage, inspire and care for people, striving to shine Christ’s light and love in all aspects of their lives and ministry.

John received a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Denver Seminary, and Kelly is currently earning her master’s degree in global leadership. They have seven children through birth and adoption and love the tapestry of nations God has woven together in their family. In his spare time, John enjoys the outdoors — whether hiking, teaching their grandkids how to fish or going on an early morning walk. Kelly loves snuggling with their grandchildren, reading a good book and sampling chocolate — in just about any form.
